Patient Access

Patient Access is the first interface between Mercy Medical Center and our patients. Admitting and registration functions have the important role of ensuring that the process of quality care is on the right path. Accuracy, efficiency, and patient confidentiality are the primary focus of this department, all the while delivering the best in customer service.

Financial Account Representatives

Financial Account Representatives complete and finalize a patient’s account for billing. This includes demographic verification, insurance verification, and pre-authorization for services. Financial Account Representatives also counsel patients who may need financial assistance by explaining insurance benefits and co-pay requirements, and assisting with assistance applications, including our Compassionate Care program. Financial Account Reps make sure that everyone feels comfortable about receiving health care, even if they don’t feel they have a way to pay for their bill. There are many options and resources available that patients may not be aware of. The services that this department offers the public truly demonstrate that we care for every aspect of the individual at Mercy Medical Center.
